Boutique Hotel Wellenberg Zurich

I had a fantastic stay at Boutique Hotel Wellenberg in Zurich. The location is perfect for exploring the old town, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The family room was spacious and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Only downsides were parking difficulties and water pressure in the shower. But overall, a great experience!

During our stopover in Zurich, we found the hotel's location to be incredibly convenient, just a short walk away from the old town and the main train station. The staff were friendly and professional, making our check-in process smooth. Despite ongoing renovations, our room was quiet and well-lit, offering a comfortable space with sufficient storage. Overall, we appreciated the affordability and the opportunity to explore the charming surroundings before our next destination.

Had relaxing 3 days here thanks to its pleasant location and staff. The room was cozy with 55 ” smart tv and had a safe box, TV and a seating area: D

Dining: My experience at the restaurant was an absolute delight! The classic French menu with European and Mediterranean influences felt like a journey through the heart of Europe. The dishes like Moules et Frites and Entrecote Café de Paris were like culinary masterpieces, elevating my dining experience to a whole new level of satisfaction.

The central location was a huge plus for me, with a cozy lobby and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast room was lovely. The room furnishings were great, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. The only downside was the noise from the street below.

A stylish hotel, my first choice in Zurich. Everything was excellent - well-appointed rooms and savoury breakfasts. Its location was central, easy walk to a Romanesque - style Protestant church. The local staff was competent!

The bustling cobblestone streets and nearby museum add to the appeal. Coffee machines and a kid-friendly lounge are thoughtful touches. Noise from nearby restaurants can be managed by closing the windows at night. The hotel lobby feels upscale, rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is efficient and helpful. Unfortunately, the air conditioning can be noisy and may fail. The breakfast spread is varied and delicious, with great poached eggs. Overall, a delightful stay despite minor hiccups.

Loved the prime spot smack dab in the center of the hustle; food for breakfast was delish, especially the fresh fruits. The staff always ready to lend a helping hand. Sun terrace and garden were nice chill spots. Couple of small things we noticed in the room, like not enough space for suitcases to hang out and no coffee/tea with the kettle; the lights though? A bit of a puzzle, but nothing to rain on the parade of a swell hotel!

The hotel's location was key - it was situated in a great area, within walking distance to many restaurants. the front desk staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Another advantage was the clever design and organization of the rooms, despite them being somewhat small.

There were holes in the bed sheet and mold in the shower, which was disappointing. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning made the warm weather uncomfortable, although they did provide a fan.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town, making it easy to walk to many places and have easy access to transportation. Restaurants of various ethnicities are just a short walk away, and the lake is only a block from the hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent advice on tours and recommendations for dinner.

The room could use some refurbishment, with stains and scratches on the furniture and walls. The bathroom is outdated and in need of an update.

The hotel's classic decor and cozy lounge areas made me feel like I stepped into a charming Swiss home. The accessibility was wonderful for us seniors, with spacious corridors and comfortable seating areas throughout the hotel, making it easy to rest and chat with other guests.

More handrails in the bathrooms would make the stay even better for seniors.

Right in the heart of Zurich's old town, you can easily visit the historical guild houses, take the kids to charming museums, and catch a showing in one of the cozy theaters. The latest in TV and media technology at the hotel ensures the little ones have entertainment while winding down after a day of exploring.

My wife says that it would be great if the hotel could offer more child-friendly dining options, perhaps a dedicated kids' menu to cater to the younger guests.

I always return for weekends. The helpful staff found my lost car keys. The hotel suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, room service, security, bar. No smoking, air conditioning, luggage storage, and express check-in make my stay comfortable.

Omg, the location 🗺️ was incredible! so close to everything in zurich! but breakfast was meh 🥐. Rooms were a bit cramped, but the staff 👨‍💼👩‍💼 were super sweet! 😍 highly recommend for a short trip!

Sample some of the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the immediate vicinity, or take a stroll to the train station for easy access to the surrounding area. it's located in a restaurant district within walking distance to all the city sights.

The noise from the surrounding area can sometimes be distracting, so bringing earplugs might be helpful.

The hotel's location is perfect, with many restaurants and bars nearby. Despite some evening noise from the street below, the rooms were comfortable. The breakfast server made the best omelette and was the most welcoming person I've ever encountered. The central location made it easy to visit all the city's attractions. The receptionist was helpful in providing directions and recommendations for sightseeing. Lastly, receiving a warm greeting and gift card on St Nicholas day was a lovely touch.

We stayed at Wellenberg for 3 nights with our family and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, close to the Zurich Central Station. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially at the reception and breakfast room. Our family room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for accommodating our infants and toddlers. We loved the delicious breakfast options, including the best croissants we've ever tasted. The hotel also offered an affordable airport shuttle service, making our travel arrangements much easier. the location, service, and spacious rooms make it an excellent choice for families.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering a welcome drink upon arrival and providing tours and ticket assistance. The amenities in the room were top-notch, with ironing facilities, air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a flat-screen TV. The hotel also had a lovely sun terrace and garden area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, making it easy to stay connected during my stay. this place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to others.

The hotel had a fantastic library/sitting room where you could relax and play games or watch movies. the location was perfect, surrounded by charming restaurants and shops. the staff was friendly and recommended amazing places to eat.

The room service definitely needs improvement, as the food was only okay and the choices were limited. the internet connection was quite poor.

Despite a few drawbacks, overall I would recommend this hotel for a stay in the city.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the service was impeccable. We particularly enjoyed the room service and dry cleaning, as well as the 24-hour room service and bell staff/porter. The room itself was very comfortable and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a mini-bar. The housekeeping was excellent, and the soundproofed rooms ensured a great night's sleep.
